Aly Raisman

Alexandra Rose Raisman (born May 25 April 1994) is an ex-retired American artistic gymnast and two-time Olympian. She was captain of both the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics teams. At the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she took home a gold in the team event which made her and her co-teammate Gabby Douglas the sole Americans with back-to-back gold team medals. Raisman also won silver in the all-around individual competition and floor exercise. Raisman has silver medals from the all-around individual, in addition to the floor exercise. She also is a two-time national champion on floor exercise (2012 in 2012 and 2015), the 2012 national champion on balance beam, and a five-time medalist in the all-around section at the national championships (silver in 2016, and bronze in 2011, 2012 and also in 2015). She was inducted into International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
